Choosing a shirt comes down to three things: fit, fabric and finish. Everything else is detail.
Fit
Start with the shoulder seam — it should sit at the edge of your shoulder, not below it. Then check the chest: you should be able to pinch about two fingers of fabric at the button line. Length matters too: a shirt that covers the seat stays tucked; a shorter cut is worn out. Each product page lists chest, shoulder and length in centimetres for that specific style, so compare those numbers with a shirt you already own rather than relying on the letter alone.
Fabric
Cotton breathes and softens with wear. Polyester resists wrinkles and holds colour, which is why printed and rhinestone styles use it as a base. Blends trade a little of each. Heavier fabric hangs straighter; lighter fabric is cooler in summer.
Finish
Print should sit in the fabric, not on top of it, and should be aligned across the placket. Stonework should be flat at the edges and shoulders. If either feels stiff or lifts at a corner, it will not survive many washes.
