Sourcing & Production
At Man & Shirt, we do not own factories. Instead, we operate a robust sourcing and production management system that ensures quality and consistency. Our team works with a curated network of partner factories in China, each selected for their expertise in men's shirt manufacturing.
Material Sourcing
We source fabrics from certified mills, including cotton, linen, blends, and performance materials. Our suppliers provide Oeko-Tex or similar certifications upon request. We prioritize sustainable options like organic cotton.
Sampling Process
Before mass production, we create samples to confirm design, fit, and fabric. We offer both pre-production samples (for approval) and sales samples (for your customers). Sampling time is typically 7-10 days.
Production Management
Our production team oversees every step:
- Pattern making and grading
- Cutting and sewing
- Embroidery and printing
- Finishing and packaging
We assign dedicated quality controllers to each order, ensuring that production follows your specifications and timelines.
Partner Factory Standards
All partner factories comply with social and environmental standards. We conduct regular audits to ensure ethical practices and consistent quality. This approach gives you the benefits of factory-direct pricing without the risks of managing production yourself.
Production network — multiple regions in China
Every Man & Shirt order is produced across a network of independent apparel workshops in several Chinese manufacturing regions, matched to the product and the order:
- Guangzhou · Guangdong — women’s shirts, blouses and dresses
- Foshan · Guangdong — men’s shirts and casual tops
- Jieyang · Guangdong — knit tops and basics
- Jiaxing · Zhejiang — knitwear, sweaters and cardigans
- Ganzhou (Xunwu) · Jiangxi — cotton shirts and blouses
Working with several workshops in different regions lets us match fabric expertise, capacity and price to each order — instead of being limited to a single factory’s range.
